Heat Treated Pallets Available Nationwide

While wooden pallets are a convenient, cost-effective, and sustainable method of transporting goods across the globe, their organic natures requires that they are suitably treated before being sent internationally. Since the timber for our pallets comes from living trees that grow in a natural (that is, non-sterile) environment, there is the risk of insects nesting deep within the wood that could spread to a non-native country and wreak havoc on their woodlands. To combat this, all our wooden pallets and other wood packaging materials that are destined for international trade undergo our heat treatment services. This process raises the core temperature of the wood, ensuring that all our treated pallets are free from mature and larval insects, not to mention spores, funguses, and other contaminates.

Heat Treated Wooden Pallets Available Nationwide

As the North West’s leading supplier of heat-treated wooden pallets, we have much to offer our customers across the country. Here is what you can expect from us…

Our Heat Treatment Services

The heat treatment process is a simple one. Our pallets and other wooden packaging materials are heated in a specially-designed killed fuelled by our biomass heaters. This takes their core temperature to 140 degrees, at which point there are left to cure for at least 30 minutes, killing off any unwanted pests. The wood can then be used and reused for international shipping.

Our Own Heat Treatment Centre

We have our own heat treatment centre located at our Birkenhead site. Not only is this more cost-effective and time-efficient, it allows us to keep a close eye on the quality of our heat-treated pallets. We have our own team operating the heat treatment centre, ensuring all pallets meet the high standards expected by our clients. Our FC number for the heat treatment facility is FC371.

Quality Heat Treated Pallets

All heat-treated pallets have to meet the International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures No. 15 (known in the trade as ISPM-15). The measure was developed by the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC), a group set up under the United Nations. We are fully-certified to treat our wooden pallets in this manner, ensuring our output is compliant with the ISPM-15 measures.

Heat Treated Pallets Built to Order

As with our regular timber pallets, our heat-treated wooden pallets are built to meet your exact specifications. Using quality materials that have already undergone our heat treatment process, we construct the perfect pallet for your international shipping needs. We have several industry standard measurements we can work from, or we can produce bespoke pallets just for you.

Heat Treatment Paperwork

Whilst most countries are happy to accept the registered ‘wheat sheaf’ branding on properly processed wooden pallets, some still insist on seeing the appropriate ISPM-15 paperwork before accepting your delivery through customs. Fortunately for our customers across the UK, we provide you with all the documentation your shipment will need.

National Heat-Treated Pallets Merchant

Working from our three sites on the Wirral (not to mention our Cardiff depot) Christ Reynolds Pallets is well-placed to deliver heat-treated pallets across the UK. We have our own fleet of lorries ready to despatch our range of treated pallets in volume, anywhere in the country.

Quality Pallets

No matter how large your order of heat-treated pallets might be, we guarantee we can meet it. We have three processing centres able to produce and ship our wooden pallets across the UK. Our team works hard to ensure we always have a ready supply in stock, but with three plants working at once, we can soon fulfil any side of order.
